Aspen Institute Trust in Practice Award

In 2026, our partnership with Homeboy Industries was recognized with the Aspen Institute Trust in Practice Award — honoring the collaborative model bringing together Homeboy Industries, Nest Global, and UCLA for intergenerational healing work in Los Angeles.


Ockenden International Prize

In 2025, Nest Global was named one of five global winners of the Ockenden International Prize — selected from 194 entries across 45 countries and territories. Established in 1951 and now in its 14th year, the prize recognizes projects advancing the self-reliance of refugees and displaced people. Nest Global was honored for its program in Tijuana, Mexico: Empowering Asylum-Seeking Families through Early Childhood Education and Holistic Support.


A&E Voices Magnified

Co-CEO Kristina Brittenham was featured as a change-maker in A&E’s Voices Magnified series, which spotlights leaders creating impact around the world. The segment aired nationally on A&E’s television channel and streaming platform.


Silver Telly Award

Learn, Play, Heal — a documentary created by HRDWRKER and produced by Art + Practice sharing the stories of Nest Global families on both sides of the US-Mexico border — received the 2024 Silver Telly Award for Branded Content in the Social Impact category.


ECSTEM Conference

Co-CEO Lindsay Weissert presented alongside March Studio at the Early Childhood Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Conference in Pasadena on “Healing-Centered Pedagogy and the Role of STEM: How Can the Built Environment Contribute?”


NAEYC National Conference

Nest Global leadership was invited to present “The Nest Approach: Creating an Inclusive, Healing-Centered Curriculum for Refugee and Immigrant Children” at the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
